I can’t believe it Will Smith’s I am Legend demolished the competition. Don’t get me wrong I like Will Smith I think he’s a very good actor but I was unsure that based upon the premise nad the fact he does spend a good portion of the movie with just him and the dog I was unsure how it would be received. This is his highest debut and the highest ever for any December shattering the record previously held by LOTR: Return of the King.

To think he hasn’t even won an Oscar yet, it will be interesting to see what kind of role or film it will be when he finally does win the Golden Statue.

Speaking of golden statues, Denzel’s new film the Great Debators is coming out Christmas. He’s garnered to Golden Globe nominations, one for GD and another for American Gangster.  I loved him in Gangster however, I feel like he’s not going to win them this year.  I think they’ll be giving it to Johnny Depp.
