Brand New Music in my sphere…sort of

I checked out One Tree Hill’s 2 hour season premiere.  I admit I’m a huge fan of the show. Besides the charactre drama it features great music from a multitude of genres. Tonight’s episodes featured some awesome music from Jimmy Eat World, Jackson Waters, Group One Crew and others. This is a show that has made huge strides for independent artists and those already established but not necessarily getting heavy rotation on Top 40. Their use of Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Wanna Be” skyrockted him too the forefront. They’re only the second show ever to be given permission to use a Led Zeppelin song in one of their episodes. They’ve had artists like Fall Out Boy, Lupe Fiasco and Jack’s Mannequin perform.  Also I ahve to say I am loving, loving, loving Mary J. Bliges “Growing Pains” album, it’s soongs are currently on heavy rotation. My favorites are definetely “Roses, Just Fine, Work That, Grown Woman,Shake Down, Mirror and Nowhere Fast(last two are i-Tunes pre-order bonus tracks)
